CUSIB congratulates Andy Lack on CEO position at BBG

The Committee for U.S. International Broadcasting, (CUSIB – cusib.org) has congratulated Chairman of the Bloomberg Media Group Andrew Lack on accepting the position of CEO for the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG).
In a letter to Mr. Lack, CUSIB Executive Director Ann Noonan and Director Ted Lipien welcomed his appointment. They noted that he will now have the potential to provide a degree of focus and oversight for improving the operation of the BBG that has been sadly missing.
CUSIB Advisory Board member and former BBG Governor Ambassador (retired) Victor Ashe who had served on the BBG board from June 30, 2010 until August 1, 2013, said, “It is good to have a real CEO for BBG.”

“Andy Lack has a good background and he will need every inch of it in his new position. He will find the federal government different from the private sector. We all need to pull together to help him as long as he is a change agent,” Ashe added.
